What the f...!? Nabura yung last post ko? Argh... Foremost, I would like to greet my friend RAFAEL MEJIA a very happy happy birthday (medyo late na, but i know it's better than never! hehe)! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Tsaka sa aming minamahal na adviser, Ma'am Au, A very very happy birthday too! ( Sorry if dale and I wern't there when the class gave you the flowers and cake. Hinahanap po kasi namin kayo. Tsaka po si dreamboy ko, hinahanap din po namin - sino dun?) Saturday: In the morning, we had our practice for our PE finals. We were supposed to held our practice at UST but because we just wanted to get tired and travel all the time, we conduct our practice at Jenny's house (again! bestfriend ko na nga yung aso nila! di na ako inaaway! hehe). It was quite cool though tiring ulit. We finished our practice at around 4:30 ata. I lost track of time kasi. Lei and I went straigh to SM North EDSA because I have to buy a gift pa for my inaanak (yeah, nanganak na yung friend ko!). I bought a bootie plus a cap plush a bib. I was supposed to purchase pa a mitens pero ala kaming nakitang Elmo. I was at UST at aroung 5:30 siguro. I was supposed to meet up pa with Jayvee ( ayan pare, ala ng bold tsaka hindi na italized. nyehehe!) but it was pretty early pa. Me exam pa kasi sya. So i walked from UST to Corona Recto to buy a gift cover. Tapos naglakad ulit ako pabalik sa university. Ayaw ko talaga magpagod. Syempre dahil sa mabait ako, naghintay pa ako ng matagal. there was this thingy at Beato. I think it was MTV VJ Hunt slash Archi award's night. That's what I heard. Although I waited half a century for my friend, ayos naman yung paghihintay. Finally, a quality time for myself. And lamig lamig pa nga dun and it was pretty quiet and peaceful ( exept for the shouting Marc Abaya whose hosting the show yards away from my place). Tapos, after decades pa of waiting, he finally showed up!(hehe). Ala lang, tambay lang kami at the middle of the field (oo nga pala, kamuntik pa ako matamaan ng bola habang papunta ako ng chapel! Swerte!), talked about life and stuff. Tapos we heard na Kjwan will be playing,then we went straight to Beato. Astig, ala masyado tao, di tulad nung Livre, Eat all you can and Fresh party na kailangan mo munang mamatay to get a decent photo of the person in the stage! Imagine the street in front of Beato. Kalahati lang nung ang occupied ng nagtatalunang mga tao!(nabunggo pa nga ako eh). It was totally awesome. Xam, mainggit ka! Hehehe! umuwi na din kami after that. It was pretty late na din kasi. It was really really awesome. You know, it's not everyday na matyetyempuhan mo ang isang libreng gig! Hehe. Totally awesome

Got this from an email. I 1st read and saw this one at Kuya Alwyne's blog, but was just kept me hanging for days because I don't know whether to blog it or not. And sad kasi. ------------------------------------

The picture depicit a famine striken child crawling towards an United Nations food camp, located kilometers away. The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat it. This picture shocked to whole world. No one knows what happened to the child, including the photographer Kevin Carter who left the place as soon as the photograph was taken.

Three months later, he commited suiced due to depression.

Sad no? Sometimes, I can't help but ask why these things happen. I mean, look around you. You can't deny the fact a lot of people where blinded by the materialistic world to see the real deal.

Speaking of my Bilibid trip, it was a mixed emotions: tiring, scary, happy, sad, and eerie.

The moment that we entered the gates, I was pretty relaxed and all. I trusted my prof so much and believed when she said that nothing bad will happen to us.

The fact that we were in fact surrounded by criminals just hit me when we were actually walking past thru them. It was really really scary! My faith on my prof suddely evaporated into thin air! Nakakatakot talaga.

We were brought to the Medium Security slash Camp Sampaguita. There, I realized that it was not that bad after all. I realized that the term 'prison' would not fit that place. 'Correctional' will do.

We had a chance to interact with some inmates. We were talking with this particular guy named 'Kaka'. It was fun chatting with him. It was quite ironic that a person who admitted that he killed someone would tell us to be very careful on this fast-paced life. He told us not to be out too late and to study harder for our future. Really really cool guy.

It's a regret that we were only alloted a short time to interact with these people. A lot of questions reserved were waiting to be asked. The feeling of being not that comfortable was replaced by guilt and gladness. Glad that we had the chance to know them. Guilty of the fact that each and every one of us do commit sins. The only difference is that they were caught. we are not.

Then we went to the Lethal Injection Chamber. I tell you, the moment I enter the room where the actual thingy happened, The feeling was sooo ohhh eerie! Ang bigat ng pakiramdam. We were given the chance to touch the 'bed'. At syempre dahil sa epal ako, hinawakan ko naman. Sobrang weird ng pakiramdam. As if a dementor was around sucking all the happiness in me. Ok, that was a bit exaggerated.

Ok, I admit that I am a pro - death penalty. Bitter? No. When I was younger, I thought na pag may kasalanan ang isang tao, kelangan nya 'tong pagbayaran. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Lethal Injection was a bit light punishment pa nga for me. Gutso ko pa nga noon, yung talagang nahihirapan ang kriminal. Yung tipong until their last breath, pinagsisisihan nila yung ginawa nila.

My trip to this place made me realize that what i thought WAS bitter and pathetic.

Yup, dapat talaga pagbayaran ng mga kriminal yung kasalanan nila. But we have to think of the justice system here in our country. We have to accept the fact na hindi lahat ng tao sa mundo, nabibigyan ng hustisya. What if kung ang isang taong kumikita lang ng sapat eh nagkakaso laban sa isang taong barya lang ang Php10,000. Napaka hipokrito ko kung sasabihin kong tapat ang ating mga mambabatas.

Sa madaling salita, our justice system here sucks.

So death sentence would give these people an unfair treatment. Being killed for something that you actually don't do is pathetic and unfair.

Plus, after meeting these people (nagaaral pala sila) and after giving the chance to interact with them, I though na EVERYBODY DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE. We only got 1 life to spare. Nobody wanted it wasted.

Maybe after the justice system here in the Philippines is clean off, I would strongly suggest that they bring back the Silya Elektrika. :) :)

Event yesterday: Meeting de Avance Let me get this straight. I didn't attend the MdA because my crush will run and I want to support him whatsoever, but because I have to act my part as a 'journalist' for our JRN project. It's not my fault if he wanted to run. And it's not his fault if I wanted to took up journalism. Anyways, we were sitting at the "Non-Partisan' part of the Auditorium. We were literally the 1st group of people to enter the big room and we were asked to sit at the chairs near the door. That's why we all knew who went in and out of the room. And this became a medium for Vange to humiliate me more. I was jotting down some information in my pad when all of a sudden, Bangge, bless her, shouted "Kuya si Aika po oh". My mind was focused on my paper because i obviously acted late AND confused. I looked at Bangge puzzled and she was actually laughing as if she had just accomplished a long lost mission. The matter is Sahig (let's call him sahig. mukha daw kasing sahig sabi ni hershey. syempre di ako pumayag! hahaha!) already entered the room and i didn't noticed him a bit! Nakakabaliw 'tong si Bange!!! Bangs: yabang naman nya Me: bakit naman Bangs: kasi di ko naman sinabi yung pangalan nya. Di lang naman sya ang kuya dito, pero sya lang yung lumingon. Me: lumingon sya? bangs: oo tapos ngumiti Me: *what the? walang hiya ka talaga Bangge! nilaglag mo nanaman akO! buti nga ngumiti yung tao, kung ako sya, tatarayan kita! ang sama sama mo Bangge!* tingin ng masama kay Bangge. Bangs: hehe The MdA went well, i think. Syempre, nagamit ko nanaman ang aking kakayahan sa photo journalism. yak, meron ba? I went in front for some picture taking. My angle was pretty cool, pero nakakahiya kasi nasa gitnang harapan ako. Ralph's itch was looking at me. I dunno, maybe it was just me. Siguro nakilala nya ako tapos nasabi nya sa sarili nya :"ah! ito yung babaeng malakas tumawa nung campaign namin". Hehe We left the MdA at around 5:30 after the Party Q & A portion. Kaya nakasabay namin yung mga candidates lumabas. I was still taking to Banggs that's why I didn't noticed Jenny leaving the room. It was pretty cool kasi nakasabay kong lumabas yung party nung itch ni Ralph and their PRO held the door for me! Pretty sweet. I was waiting for him na bitawan yung pintuan para ako ang magbubukas (alam ko, ang weird), but he didn't. he was just staring at me pa nga, waiting for me to step out of the room. Cool talaga. Kuya, sana ganyan talaga ugali mo. Hindi yung gentleman ka lang kasi election moment. :) Event for the day: The Faculty Show The day started at 12:00 am when I found out that there would be no 9am show ( we were supposed to to watch it earlier para marami kaming magawa). Then i was informed nga na the earliest showing time was 1pm! at it was 12midnight! How am i supposed to inform my kasabays about it. Wala pa akong load. Kawawa naman Anyways, I went to school at around 10:30 or something. I forgot, i lost track of time. Naawa kasi ako kena Pheobe and Bangge kasi they were there at 9 am! wawa. Kaya I went there early naman. Part of me regretted being there with Bangge and Phibs. Ilaglag daw ba ako ( for the nth time). Kasi we were at the AB lobby at sahig was there and... you know what happened. Tapos the faculty show. Grabe! sobrang after 24,435,664 years pa bago kami nakapasok sa loob. The 1 oclock was moved to 2. Kaya 2 hours kaming naghintay. Why two hours? The show started at 3. Sigh. Syempre may adventure din ako habang nakapila kami kasi malandi ako. I was sitting at the side and was talking to Jenny. I looked at the right side at nagulat ako, andun si Sahig! Syempre deadma epek. Si jenny nalang nagsabi sakin na nakita nya na ako. Anyways, Hershey came into the picture. Nung nalaman nya na andun si Sahig, she called Bangge and was looking for him. At 1st, di nila nakita. Tapos, hershey was saying loudly his name.. She to Bangs: uy! nandyan si *sahig's real name*! Ano ba yan, walang ka taste taste. Mukha naman sahig... Then, nagulat daw sya when the girl beside her approached Sahig!It so happened na kilala nya si sahig personally! HAHAHA! Ayan, kabilis ng karma. Kaya pala biglang tumahimik si She. HAHAAH! Ang kanyang panghirit (she mentioned this sa BK na after the faculty show): Nyek!tapos tumingin sya sakin nakangiti. Pareng ewan. Sinabihan na nga syang mukha syang sahig, natutuwa padin sya! HAHAHA! Nakakatawa talaga 'tong araw na 'to. The Show per se was pretty awesome. Thanks to the event's hosts. Galing nila. Ok yung chemestry nilang dalawa. Tapos it was nice seeing some of my profs ridicule themselves. Hindi naman talaga nila pinahiya sarili nila. It was cool seeing their hidden talents. Hindi halatang nambabaksak. Ang cute cute nga ni Ma'am Au!!!:) ------------ I was taking with Jayvee Michael Zuniga ( ayan pare, kumpletong kumpleto pa ang pangalan mo! naka bold na, italized pa! hehehe:)) at the phone and we were talking about some mushy and cheesy stuff. Hehe. In time yun para sa Valentines day. Hehe. Yeah, i know I am a very very secretive person (according to Bonn na sinabi nya kay Jenny). Pero kasi naiilanga ako magkwento ng buhay ko. That was partly the reason why i took up Journalism. I am so dumb in expressing myself vocally kaya sa pagsusulat ako bumabawi. And drama drama drama. Speaking of Valentine's Day, wala akong ka date ngayong year na 'to. Hehe. We were planning to have a group date! It's not my lost kung bakit wala akong date. I have my friends with me. And Jenny daw has a suprise for me this coming heart's day. Pero sana naman, sa gagawin nyang yun, wag na mawala ang natitirang kahihiyan sa katawan ko! hehehe:) Kasi naman ikaw Aika, nakipaghiwalay ka before Valentines Day! hay! it's been so long since i last posted an entry. so here goes... Politics ABSC wll held its election I don't know when and room-to-room campaigns are everywhere! It's really driving me insane. Specially *put a name of a political party here*! Although I have nothing against it, and they were asking me naman if I wanted a *put 2 colors here* flag or piece of mantel attched to my blouse and it's rude to decline especially because they approaced me with the biggest smiles i've ever seen, but, nasasayang lang kasi yung props nila sakin. Tinatanggal ko din naman kasi. ahahaha:) Yup, one of my, umm, crush ( or should I say a person I admire) will run for *put a position here*. AB WEEK PARADE That day was a blast! We arrived at the university at around 9:00 am to finish our 'typewriter'. Sa awa ng Dyos, natapos namin sya at nagmukha naman siyang typewriter. It was pretty tiring. Hershey and I were running all around the campus, just to take a decent photo for our Journalism class. Tiring, but definetly fun. SINAI YOUTH CAMP 2005 Last Saturday, Sinai Youth Camp was held at the ground of UST, specifically at the Eng'g Sports Complex. I left home at around 10am and went to Jenny to get her tent. Ang laki naman kasi ng tent nya *sarcastic tone*. Syempre, it's my 1st time to go somewhere i don't know alone!!! 'm so proud of my self! Di ako naligaw!!!At naging close kami ng mamang driver!!! It was so much fun!!!:) We arrived at the unversity at around 3 pm. Grabe, I'm so tired na at that moment to think na hindi ako matutulog. The whole camping was fun. Sa buong 1jrn2, 5 lang kami: Ako, Hershey, Jenny, Val and Rea. It was really amazing how we assemled that tent! We met new friend. mga 'kapit-tent' ( the dudes beside our temt). Ayos lang. We celebrated na din Hershey's 18th birthday at the camp. We gave her a little suprise and it was nice seeing her smile like that. Abot tenga talaga ang kanyang mga ngiti!HAHAHA We went home at around 8:30. Ayos sana ang 2nd day mass, kung di lang talaga ako literal na muntik ng makatulog sa misa. HAHAHAHA!

We still don't know his condition since Val only heard the news at the radio ( flash report lang). Sana, help us to pray for him. I don't wanna mention his name yet kasi di pa nga sure. Anyways, I would like to apologize kay um... the guy/girl that sign my shoutbox. <---. though kasi na si molina and roy ay iisa. Ok, i admit that am so stupid about that stuff since iilan lang naman ang alam kong kanta ng kapatid at i'm not really a fan. For goodness sake, that was last year. I admit naman my mistake, but you don't have to rub it on my nose. Ever heard of the words 'approach me nicely'? Kung sinabi mo sana sakin ng maayos, papasalamatan pa kita ng maayos. Pero, I would like to say thank you na rin for correcting me. Pero and rude mo talaga. --------- Ooopps! Gotta go to school na! Pagdasal po natin si Sir ah.

Update on my PE prelims: The group got a 1.25 and individually, I got a 1.00 and a 1.25. so sweet!:) I have a very weird story to tell. It kinda shocked me to my nerves. Diba PE namin kagahapon. Of course, we were not allowed to use our phones. After the class, there was a missed unregistered number called, i was thinking that it was just one of my mahiwagang callers/texters. Here's how our conversation went. Me: hu u po? *walang smilie* Him: father of *put a name of a girl here. complete name* Me: ah, okay. hello po!Good Morning *medyo napahiya kasi kaya nagpaka isip bata nanaman* Him: F u know her wherebout pls tel her to go home Me: *WTF?! ano nanaman 'to* Shax, naglayas po sya? * Duh aika! ang tanga tanga mo! hindi ba obvious?* O sige po, I'll try my best to help :) Him: K tnx a lot *ano ba naman, walang kwenta 'tong batang 'to!*

The UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe held it's annual Dance concert ( yup, kanina ko lang natanto na yearly sya) entitled "Banyuhay" today (and will be tomorrow) and I was semi-forced to watch(for our Journ project). At buti nalang nanuod ako! Sobrang sobrang astig ng palabas ( kudos to 'Gawi and it's choreographer slash director Mr. Ryan Silva). I've never seen anything like it before. the whole idea of the show is so cool! anyone who would like to catch it, may chance pa kayo... until tomorrow nalang. Astig talaga.

Some of my classmates and I went home so oh late tonight because we still have to finish the 'costume' that Dale would be wearing tomorrow. Cool! Bonding talaga. Sobrang laugh trip. Medyo nakakapagod sya, pero okay naman kasi kakaibang experience. Yung tipong nasarhan na kami ng ilaw sa lover's lane and we still have to transfer to the parking lot for some lights. weird pero masaya. Thnkz for the great time, guys:)
